Great Wyrley

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 WHEREAS Staffordshire County Council (“the Council”) being the highway authority for Love Lane in
Great Wyrley is satisfied that the traffic on the said road in the South Staffordshire District should be restricted by reason of works in connection with utility works, being executed or proposed to be executed therein.

NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers hereby makes the following Order:-

1. Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order no person shall cause any vehicle or cycle to proceed in that length of Love Lane in Great Wyrley from the junction with Manor Avenue to the junction with Trevor Avenue.

2. The provisions of Article 1 of this Order shall not apply to any vehicle being used for or in connection with the said works; or for vehicles being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance
purposes, or vehicles requiring access to properties on or immediately adjacent to the said length of road.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the 23rd March 2026 and may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council Love Lane in Great Wyrley (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026.

4. That the following be the preferred alternative route for traffic affected by this Order namely:-

The Preferred alternative route for traffic is Love Lane, Norton Lane, Walsall Road
