Great Wyrley Community Centre is located at the heart of the community, our centre is a vibrant hub where people of all ages come together to connect, learn, and thrive. We offer a warm and inclusive space, featuring a lovely, well-equipped room available to hire for events, classes, meetings, and celebrations. Whether you’re planning a gathering or looking to get involved in local activities, our doors are always open.
The centre is available for private functions, including weddings, christenings and children’s birthday parties. Sorry no 18th birthday parties or graduations.
Private hire is available Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday daytime.

For all hire enquiries, simply give our friendly Community Centre team a call on 01922 414768 on Wednesdays between 9am and 3.30pm, and they’ll be happy to assist you.

Please note: The Community Centre will never request payment to be made via email or text message. All payments are taken in person at the office within Great Wyrley Community Centre.
FAQs – Hiring Great Wyrley Community Centre
- Our main hall hire rate is £39.00 per hour (26/27 rates), with a minimum booking of four hours.
- To secure your booking, a non-refundable £50.00 deposit is required. If this payment is not received within two weeks of your initial enquiry, the requested date may be released to other bookings.
- The remaining balance, along with a £100.00 security bond, must be paid no later than two weeks prior to your event. Payments are kindly requested in cash.
- Great Wyrley Community Centre does not have a bar on site; however, we are happy to recommend licensed mobile bar services. Please let us know if you would like to discuss this further.
- Bouncy castles are permitted; however, height restrictions apply due to ceiling fans. Suitable dimensions can be discussed at the time of booking.
- Once your event has taken place and Community Centre staff have confirmed everything is in order, the security bond will be refunded by cheque, made payable to the signed hirer on the booking form. Refunds are authorised at the next available Parish Council meeting, usually held on the first Wednesday of each month. You will be contacted by telephone once the cheque is ready for collection.
